AST Oceanics provided a patrol vessel and full marine crew to Australian Customs and Border Protection Services for their patrol and response capability in the waters to the North of Australia.
Project Summary
In 2006 AST Oceanics was awarded a contract with the Australian Customs and Border Protection Services to supply a patrol vessel and crew under a long term charter. We secured a 98m trimaran patrol vessel which we mobilised from the UK. Significant engineering modifications were made to the vessel to meet the objectives of the contract. We provided a full marine crew and successfully carried out the duties of the contract through several contractual extension periods, eventually ceasing in October 2015, following the arrival of a new fleet of Commonwealth provided vessels.
