SMALL VESSELS FREIGHT
Project Name: Sea Lift Transport – Sri Lanka and Papua New Guinea
In 2018 AST Oceanics was awarded a contract with the Department of Home Affairs for the collection of six small vessels from locations around Australia and the freighting of those vessels to Papua New Guinea and Sri Lanka.
Project Summary
The Department of Home Affairs wished to relocate six vessels from its small boat fleet; three to Sri Lanka and three to Papua New Guinea. AST Oceanics provided an innovative solution for the safe freighting of these vessels which gave maximum Commonwealth asset protection and an efficient, streamlined delivery approach. The project is underway and the first three vessels have been succesfully delivered to Papua New Guinea.
